Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Genius Digital Marketing LLC ("Genius," "we," "us") collects through geniusdm.com, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers this website only, not the work we do for clients.

What we collect

Information you send us. When you use our contact form, we receive what you enter: your name, email address, company, phone number if you give it, the services you are interested in and your message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, cookies, pixels and similar technologies collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, your IP address and your approximate location. We manage these tools through Google Tag Manager.

Analytics and advertising tools

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors interact with pages, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, so we can find and fix confusing parts of the site. We also use measurement and advertising tags from platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, TikTok and Google Ads. These tags tell us whether our ads lead to visits and inquiries, and they let us show our ads to people who have visited our site. The platforms that provide these tags may combine this information with other data they hold about you, under their own privacy policies.

How we use information

  • To reply to your inquiry and talk with you about working together.
  • To understand which pages are useful and improve the site.
  • To measure and improve our own marketing, including showing our ads to past visitors.
  • To keep the site and our contact form secure and free of spam.
  • To meet legal obligations.

How we share information

We don't sell your information for money. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and our business, and with the analytics and advertising platforms described above:

  • Netlify hosts the site and receives and stores contact form submissions.
  • Google provides Tag Manager, Analytics and advertising services, and reCAPTCHA, which protects our contact form from spam. reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Microsoft provides Clarity, which records how visitors use our pages.
  • Advertising platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok receive information from their tags on our site.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of our business.

Some state privacy laws treat sharing data with advertising platforms for ads as a "sale," "sharing" or "targeted advertising." You can opt out, as described below.

Your choices

  • Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
  • Analytics. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any website with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
  • Ads. You can manage ad personalization in your Google and Meta settings, and through the industry opt-out at optout.aboutads.info.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising. Contact us as described below and we will stop using your information for targeted ads where the law gives you that right.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including Texas and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, get a copy of it, correct it, delete it and opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, contact us as described below. We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will review it. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

How long we keep information

We keep contact form submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you and manage any business relationship that follows, and as long as needed to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Analytics and advertising data is kept according to each platform's retention settings.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or internet transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is for businesses and isn't directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the date below.
